Days 2 and 3 New York Fashion Week F/W 2013


There are many new and exciting trends for the Fall/Winter of 2013 season, as well as not so new ones.  

Nicole Miller takes a more contrasting approach for this show tomboy vs feminine. There was an abundance of floral prints mixed with astronomical prints, and hints of geometric shapes. Color wise, the collection is bright (feminine) as well as dark (tomboy)

Charlotte Ronson presented a show of dark and muted tones. Unlike she Miller, Ronson uses various fabrics, such as leather, plastic vinyl and chiffon lace.

  





Students at the Academy of Art embrace traditional and classic design. The show featured predominantly used dark colors; black, brown and white, with a sprig of color.

Herve Leger deviated a bit from  their  usual bandage bodycon dresses.  Instead this show presented a dark palette of  form fitting beaded dresses, some of which were punctuated wit a bit of white, layered over  skinny pants.

Wow, Monique Lhuillier featured opulent gowns, some of which were fit for a couture runway.  Rich colors along with lace, certainly nailed the sensual, stronger approach envisioned by Lhuillier.
